MEDSEEK, the leading provider of eHealth portal solutions, announced today their existing client, Arizona’s University Medical Center (UMC), has once again turned to the experts at MEDSEEK to optimize their consumer-facing Web site. The portal redesign project will expand the capabilities of their content management system and includes professional design and search engine optimization services.
Together, these solutions will deliver the type of online experience today’s tech-savvy consumers demand and one that is consistent with UMC's position as one of the nation's top-ranked hospitals.
Leveraging their existing MEDSEEK investment, MEDSEEK's eMarketing Services professionals will assist the private, not-for-profit hospital located in Tucson, Arizona, in advancing the capabilities of the existing site to create a "virtual front door" for the hospital, which is already ranked among the top fifty hospitals in the nation according to the U.S.News & World Report's annual guide to "America's Best Hospitals". Known for pioneering treatment and research, UMC is committed to empowering patients with information that will help manage chronic conditions and prevent disease, and views redesigning the portal as an essential element of this commitment.
UMC Vice President, Adaline Klemmedson explained, "As a teaching hospital, our physicians are on the leading edge of medical knowledge, training the next generation of physicians using sophisticated technologies, advanced treatments and engendering a consistently high standard of patient care. We want our communities to experience the UMC difference from the moment they enter our Web site.
Klemmedson continued, "The consumer portal launch is a key business and branding initiative to forge stronger relationships with our communities. Partnering with MEDSEEK will allow us to reach consumers in a more meaningful way, providing convenient, easy access to relevant information, health resources and tools before they even enter our buildings - for an unparalleled user experience."
Peter Kuhn, MEDSEEK's CEO, explained, "We are excited to work with UMC to create an eHealth Web strategy that will drive awareness of the hospital's expertise, innovation and expansion. The consumer portal will allow UMC to effectively engage consumers beyond its hospital walls, which will in turn support the hospital's growth."
