Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions, has been awarded a new three year, multi-source, contract by HealthTrust Purchasing Group (HPG) to provide Computed Radiography products at competitive terms and conditions to their more than 1,400 not-for-profit and for-profit acute care hospitals, 120 alternate care sites, and 3,600 physician practices in the United States.
The contract names Agfa HealthCare as a provider of a comprehensive assortment of Computed Radiography (CR) systems.
Agfa HealthCare's entire line of CR hardware, software, accessories, and service maintenance agreements is covered in this contract. Agfa HealthCare's CR line includes the CR 85-X high capacity multi-plate system; its two single plate systems, CR 35-X and the CR 30-X, and the innovative, needle detector based CR system, DX-S. Also included is Agfa HealthCare's newest high-throughput multi-plate DX-G solution, a CR system with outstanding flexibility for general radiography and designed to handle both needle-based detector plates (NIP), as well as standard phosphor plates (PIP). All Agfa HealthCare CR solutions are available with its workflow optimizing NX graphical user interface and award winning MUSICA2 image processing algorithms.
Effective April 1, 2010, this contract will be the latest in a progression of Agfa HealthCare's ongoing relationship with HPG and its member facilities that spans back to 1999. Agfa HealthCare also has a Film, Dry Media, and Imagers on contract with HPG.
